DESCRIPTION:Dear Parents\, \nThe time to formally farewell our year 12 students is approaching. The Year 12 Graduation will take place over the following dates:  \nWednesday 11th September 11:00 am – Ceremony: (For Graduating students and a maximum of 3 immediate family members only. Please Register your attendance ) \n\nVenue:  School\nStudents attend school as normal\, in their school uniform\, where they will be given their graduation gowns and will embark on a Walk of Fame through the school so that the student body can celebrate their achievement. This will be followed by some informal speeches and videos\, and a morning tea for the students. \nStudents will be allowed to go home with their graduation gowns to get ready for the Graduation Dinner the next day to attend with their family. \nStudents should arrive at the venue for the dinner function in their graduation gown and cap. These can be returned to the school the next day to receive their deposit back.\n\nThursday 12th September  5:30 pm – Graduation Dinner (Year 12 Students\, Family and Teachers Please purchase tickets ) \n\nVenue:  The Renaissance\, 3 New Street E\, Lidcombe at 5:30pm for a prompt 6:00pm start. The Dinner is expected to finish by 9:00pm. \nDress code: Graduating students must wear modest formal attire. Dresses should not be figure-hugging. Boys must wear ties and girls must wear hijabs. \nTicket: All Dinner attendees must purchase a ticket at $70 per person. Graduating students can purchase their ticket at the special price of $35. These can be purchased via the school app Audiri or QR code. Tickets will be scanned on the night upon entry to the venue. All ticket purchases need to be made by Friday 1st September 2024.\n\nGown Hire: \n\nPlease note that students must pay a $50 partially refundable fee to hire the graduation gown over the two days. This payment can be made through the same ticket link provided for the event.\nStudents will be refunded $30 when the gown is returned in good condition. The remaining $20 will be used for dry cleaning.

Please secure your spot early\, Registrations will be accepted on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nOverview: \n\nEquip yourself with skills to identify when a young person is having thoughts of suicide.\nImprove your confidence in engaging this young person in direct and open talk about suicide.\nUnderstand how to connect them with safety connections in your community who can complete a suicide safety plan.\nNESA Accredited Workshop\nThis workshop is available for free (usually ~$200 pp.) to all NSW High Schools until the end of June 2024.\nThis is a great opportunity to upskill in an often-sensitive topic that most feel uncomfortable addressing with students\, family members or friends. We will be holding the Iftar for students from Years 7 – 10 on Tuesday the 26th of March from 6.45pm to 8.00pm. \nStudents attending the Iftar are dismissed at 2pm as per Ramadan timetable\, and are to return to school at 6:45 pm for the beginning of the iftar. \nAll students are to ensure that they dress in an Islamically appropriate manner and come to school with wudu ready to perform Salatul Maghrib. \nStudents will break their fast with water and dates upon the Athaan\, followed by Maghreb prayer in congregation. The academy will be providing the meal\, which will include a drink and dessert\, at a cost of $20 per student. \nPlease note\, Taraweeh prayers will be held in the school hall at 8.30pm. Students are welcome to stay back for this. Otherwise\, please pick up your child promptly by 8.00pm. \nTickets can be purchased through the provided link by Wednesday 20th March 2024.
