2024 PFA Family Camp

Join other GPS families for a terrific weekend adventure!  Held at Camp Manyung in the rolling hills of Mt Eliza overlooking Port Phillip Bay, this YMCA run camp is located an hour from Melbourne.

Activities for the Family Weekend Camp include:

• Giant Swing
• Tree Rolling
• Disco and movie nights
• Campfire pit (for marshmallow roasting)
• Optional sporting activities and games including tennis, cricket and table tennis, beach walks and more.

This is a terrific opportunity for Greythorn families to enjoy a weekend away together. Students from Prep to Grade 6 are welcome to attend.  Each child must be accompanied by a parent.  Places are limited so please book your spots today. Bookings will close when sold out or by 9am on Thursday 26 September 2024.

This is a PFA initiative, run in addition to the usual school year level camps.  Previously it has alternated between Father/Son and Father/Daughter Camps with this year the first time the camp is open to all parents/carers + their child/children.  The camp includes two nights accommodation in cabins, all activities and 7 meals.  Campers supply their own bedding and towels.

The camp is organised by parents and therefore is not a ‘school camp’ and there will be no Greythorn teachers attending the camp. It is obiligatory that a parent, carer or guardian accompany each child or children.  The camp is run by the YMCA and a YMCA Duty Manager will be present at all times.

Total cost: $255 per camper

The camp begins on Friday afternoon, with attendees making their own way to the camp site.

Cabin Allocation / Sharing

Those in Prep and Grade 1 will be automatically allocated a cabin with their Parent or Carer. This is optional from Grade 2 and above.  If  you are booking with a friend or have a preference who you are paired with, please supply the details when completing your booking or email the details to [email protected].  Requests will be taken into consideration where possible. Cabins are generally for 4 guests. Groups of 5 can be accommodated.
