Staff and Parents Workshop: Suicide Prevention

Australian International Academy of Education Kellyville would like to invite you for:

Event name: Staff and Parents Workshop: Suicide Prevention
Date: Wednesday 22nd of May (Closed) or Wednesday 5th of June (still spaces available) 
Time: 3:40 pm – 6:40 pm
Venue: AIA Kellyville School Hall

Register for Attendance: Workshops will be run in small groups (max 30pp). Please secure your spot early, Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Overview:

• Equip yourself with skills to identify when a young person is having thoughts of suicide.
• Improve your confidence in engaging this young person in direct and open talk about suicide.
• Understand how to connect them with safety connections in your community who can complete a suicide safety plan.
• NESA Accredited Workshop
• This workshop is available for free (usually ~$200 pp.) to all NSW High Schools until the end of June 2024.
• This is a great opportunity to upskill in an often-sensitive topic that most feel uncomfortable addressing with students, family members or friends. This is an opportunity for many of us to feel better equipped when faced with scenarios which may require your intervention.
